Harnessed

Harnessed 04:26
Isn't it clever how the sun in the sky could nourish our bodies until we die And funny how our organs and flesh Placed in the ground make the surface so fresh The start in their metaphors rings In hope that we the people would joyously sing in praise of our lives And the gift of an undying love that was not made to shift But hold true to what blows in the wind And the voices that say let the chaos begin In the beginning there was nothing but darkness And violence and vile creatures Then in an instant we'd supposedly harnessed our sanctity and Superior features =/ And as the beasts of old were fighting to survive we began fighting Just to prove each other contrived of the holiest light Or of darkness and warring to see which one gets us farthest Down the road of the wrong and righteous That's condemning us all
